An International charity that runs an Aids
hospice in northern KwaZulu-Natal has made an unselfish
donation to countries affected by the
tsunami.
The Brotherhood of Blessed Gerard, an
inter-national relief and charity organisation, which
funds the Blessed Gerard Hospice in Mandini, has sent
almost R15 000 of medical supplies to India and Thailand
to help the victims of the tsunami.
"The
medication was donated to the Blessed Gerard Hospice and
had to be imported from Germany," said the hospice's
Father Gerard.
The medication was
transported to India and Thailand on December 31,
2004.
Apart from the medication, the Brotherhood
of Blessed Gerard has sent a team of international
relief workers to India, Sri Lanka and
Thailand.
The Blessed Gerard Hospice in Mandini
cares for 80 patients living with Aids.
